Let’s face it, many people do not like to hear the word “business”. Simply because “business” is associated with hard work and hard work doesn’t sound fun. But driving traffic to a website is a business and this requires your time and devotion.

Although, there are many ways that can help drive traffic to your website, you need to understand that this doesn’t happen overnight. The profit that you will gain if you are successful in driving traffic to your website is enormous. With traffic constantly driven to your website, your business goes on.

Here are some the strategies you can use to get that traffic.

First, you can take advantage of Google Adwords. This is paid advertising where Google places ads on other sites to promote your website or web visitors clicks on an ads on the Google search engine itself.

If you’re short on the budget, you can also introduce your website in forums but just make sure that the forum you go into is related to what your website is all about. Make sure that you know where to find your target audience.

Another option is to write articles about your site and promote them in online article directories like ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com. Just don’t forget before you start promoting your website, everything should be in place. Your website needs to have a niche or focus it on a topic because overloading it with different materials can make it look disorderly and chaotic.

Web 2.0 sites such as Digg, Propeller and Reddit are also popular sites that can bring your website a ton of traffic if your content is good.

Video sharing sites such as Youtube and Google video can deliver thousands of visitors to your website from just one video uploaded and it is certainly one of the best and easiest ways to get traffic.

After doing all of these, do not be disappointed if you don’t get the results that you are expecting. After all everything takes time including driving traffic to your website.

omes to website promotion, many individuals out there do not take a moment to think about website promotion as they are building their website business plans. Then when it all comes to an end, those individuals realize just how important website promotion is. Within this article, we are going to tell you some basic information on website promotion.

When it comes to website promotion, you should keep in mind that it is not just to tell people about your website and getting visitors to come to your website. The real meaning of website promotion is to get a higher amount of traffic to your website with what is called organic targeted visitors.

The first thing you will need to do is submit the website you have made into all different directories and search engines and don?t forget the other websites out there. This process sounds easy, but it can take a lot of time and it is the first step you should take while you are doing website promotion. Another method that has proven to be pretty effective to promote your website is called SEO, search engine optimization.

When it comes to search engine optimization, you should keep in mind that it takes more than just submitting the website to search engines and directories. When it comes to your website, if you want to have top rankings, you will need to check the keyword frequency, keyword density, make sure it has the right keywords, Meta tags, etc. You should also make sure your website has a ton of inbound links from high ranking websites in order to be on the first three pages on Yahoo or Google.

Have you ever heard of pay per click (PPC)? Pay per click marketing is a popular method that is used by many different individuals because of the immediate result it gives. This method is different from search engine optimization marketing because you will be able to get the right amount of traffic to your website in only a little bit of time. The downside to pay per click marketing is the fact that it could end up costing a lot of money if you are bidding on a keyword and phase that is popular.

When it comes to website promotion, there is no doubt that it is very important for your website but you will need to plan it ahead of time. There is no such thing as quick and easy to be on the top in website promotion. You should also keep in mind that website promotion is a process that you will need to keep up with in order to bring those quality organic visitors to view your website. The truth is that it never ends.

When it comes to generating cash via cash gifting on the internet, you’re success will depend on two factors:

1. Traffic

2. Conversion

Now as important as Conversion is (and it is VERY important!), nothing happens in your personal cash gifting website with traffic. Think about it, does it matter if your website has a ton of content, like videos, audios, testimonials, etc., if there’s no one on your website… Of course not! Plain and simple: The biggest reason new marketers fail online is they simply don’t have enough traffic going to their website!

The purpose of this article is to teach you how to make sure that your website builds free targeted traffic slowly and steadily applying simple tactics that anyone can do regardless of their experience level.

Here are five simple steps to start driving quality, targeted traffic to your website:

Method 1 – Post in Forums.

The most instant and free way to drive huge targeted traffic to your website is using the massive power of forums. There are hundreds of high traffic forums you can join. Ideally, you want to get involved in a forum that has something to do with what you’re promoting (ex. Cash gifting). You can do a search on Google if you don’t know where to start. When you register, you can include your website link in your signature. And every time you make a post, you’ll have your link right under your comment. You can invest 30-45 minutes a day and make 2-3 posts on 1 or 2 different forums. Now that might not seem like a lot but after a month you’ll have 150-200 posts up all with links back to your website. Just don’t make the mistake of spamming the forum and making blatant solicitations on your posts. This will get you banned and/or destroy your reputation. Instead, make intelligent posts where you can and as you build your presence on the forum, and grow your network, you can have people checking out your website all day long via your link in your signature.

Method 2 – Email Signature.

You already probably have hundreds of people in your email list. These are people that know and like you. You can setup an email signature with a link to your website that will be on every outgoing email you send from now on. You can either shoot an mass email or just use it in emails you send on a daily basis. Believe me, people will notice your link and click on it. You can drive a ton of traffic with this method.

Method 3 – Posting On Online Classified.

There are a ton of online classified website that you can use and post ads on for free. Classified sites like Craigslist, Backpage and Adlandpro have tons of traffic and, assuming your ad has a compelling headline, your ad will be seen. And the more people who see your ad (with a link to your website in it), the more traffic will go to your website. Keep in mind, there are millions of people on the internet looking for your opportunity (or activity) and a lot of them are on these classified sites. One tip that will save you wasted time on posting ads in “less traffic areas” of Craigslist and/or Backpage is to use Alexa.com first. You’ll be able to see which cities get the most traffic and you can concentrate your efforts in those cities.

Method 4 – Article Marketing.

Writing articles and submitting them to article directories have proven to drive huge long term traffic and also high conversion rates. One reason Article Marketing works so well is the traffic is super-targeted. Also, while you’re driving traffic, with articles, you’re actually branding yourself at the same time. Another thing about articles is that articles last. In other words, an article you post today has the potential to still be driving traffic to your website 12 months from now.

Method 5 – Start & Update Your Blog.

Blogs are another very powerful method of driving targeted traffic to your website. Make sure you supply a link to your website in your blog. Another way to generate traffic is to find blogs in your niche and start posting comments with your website link. This will also drive non-stop free targeted traffic to your website.

Remember, if you want to rake in boatloads of cash (via cash gifting) your focus and 90% of your internet efforts should be TRAFFIC BUILDING. Once you have a constant flow of targeted traffic, then and only then, should you tweak (if you have to) your website, lead capture page, autoresponder emails, etc., to increase your conversion rate. Everything will fall into place if you have enough traffic

If you are new to Internet marketing you might have no idea how to drive traffic to your website. Don’t panic! Generating targeted traffic does take some effort but it is not actually so difficult. There are several reliable methods which are easy to do and either free or cheap. So let’s look at some of the easiest techniques that you can use to drive targeted traffic to your website.

Starting with some of the free traffic ideas for your website, at the top of the list comes “article marketing”

Article Marketing

Article marketing is the process of writing articles and publishing them on the Internet. You can publish your articles on your website or blog, or on article directories. At the foot of your article you will include a short blurb about yourself and post your website address as a link.

Submitting articles to article directories is one of the best ways to get targeted traffic to your website. Write about topics related to the products or services that you are dealing with on your website and people who are interested in finding out more will be able to visit your website via the link at the bottom of the articles that you’ve submitted.

Most article directories are free to submit to, so you can write and publish your articles without spending a single dollar. Some of the best article directories on the Internet include:

articlecity.com ezinearticles.com ideamarketers.com goarticles.com linksnoop.com

Start A Blog

Starting a blog is a very easy and effective marketing strategy – and it is free! You can set up a free blog on Blogger.com in a matter of minutes. When your have made your blog, link it to your website. Blogger.com is owned by Google so you can be sure that Google will regularly come by and crawl the postings on your blog. It is advisable to keep your blog updated with posts every day if possible. You can vary the length of your blog posts. Any time you post an article to your website or an article directory, talk about it on your blog and link your post to it.

Online Forums

Get into the habit of visiting online forums that are related to your business. Join in the discussions with helpful contributions. In most cases you will be able to discreetly promote your website by putting your links in your signature line. If your signature is compelling, without being too loud or large, you will probably generate some more traffic to your website.

Traffic Exchanges

Sign up for a free account with a handful of traffic exchange websites. On a traffic exchange website you can submit a link to your website and will be able to earn credits by browsing other members’ sites on the exchange. The more credits you earn, the more often your website will be viewed by other members on the traffic exchange. This is a quick and popular method of generating traffic to your site. Here are some of the biggest traffic exchanges:

Trafficg.com

Trafficswarm.com

LotsMoreHits.com

Get Linked!

The World Wide Web is a huge network of links. If you want some of the action you will need to get as many good quality links back to your site as you can. Contact website owners whose websites related to your category. Ask for a mutual link from their site to yours, or if you have a budget, find out how much they would charge for a small classified ad on their website.

As your skills develop you will learn how to drive traffic to your website with other, more complex methods too, but for now these five techniques are have described are great ways of generating targeted traffic and building up your Internet business.

A recent post on the Inside AdSense Blog revealed that Google is all set to allow multiple Google-certified ad networks to compete with AdWords advertisers for display ad space on AdSense enabled sites. With this new change, ad networks or non-AdWords advertisers will also be able to bid on Google ad auction.

Well, this would be a nice way for AdSense publishers to generate revenue from their display ad space, no matter whether the ads come from AdWords advertisers or Google-certified ad networks. However, publishers will have control over which networks can show ads on their pages. They can also opt out of receiving ads from specific networks or all networks and have only AdWords advertisers to display ads on their sites. In addition, Google will not allow ad networks to collect any user data to be used for Internet-based advertising. This new feature will initially be available for AdSense publishers in North America and Europe. Below is a video that explains the change:

Here is the Google AdSense Team's mail to all AdSense publishers:

“We're writing to let you know about an upcoming update in your AdSense account designed to help you generate the maximum revenue from your ad units. You'll soon be able to allow multiple ad networks to show on your pages, which means that advertisers from external Google-certified networks will be able to compete with AdWords advertisers for your ad space. If you're unfamiliar with what ad networks are, they're companies that partner with advertisers and publishers to buy and sell ads on sites they don't own themselves, similar to AdSense. Ads from these networks will compete with Google ads to show on publisher sites, and the ad generating the highest revenue for publishers will be displayed. To ensure the quality of the ads appearing on your sites, we're certifying all participating ad networks for adherence to our standards for user privacy, ad quality, and speed. You'll also have control over which networks can show ads on your pages — you can choose to opt out of receiving ads from specific networks, or all networks completely. This means you can continue to show ads from only AdWords advertisers if you'd like. Finally, some ad networks use tools similar to Google's interest-based advertising to show more relevant ads to users on the sites they visit. These ad networks won't be permitted to collect data from your site for the purpose of subsequent interest-based advertising, but we’ll allow those who comply with user privacy guidelines to show ads using these tools. You'll have the ability to opt out of showing ads based on user interests from these ad networks, and we've changed our requirements for third-party ad serving to reflect this. More information is available at http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=94230.

These new capabilities will automatically be enabled for your account, and you'll see a new section in your Ad Review Center where you can allow or block specific ad networks. Please note that we’ll gradually be adding new ad networks to AdSense accounts over the next few months, so you won’t see any immediate impact on your ads or your earnings.

To learn more about this launch and managing the ad networks appearing on your pages, visit the AdSense Help Center at https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/topic.py?hl=en&topic=13522 and watch our video demo at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HyJPOVLd3I .

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team”

Google To Allow Certified Ad networks To Compete With AdWords Advertisers On AdSense Sites

If you are among the ones who have been following Google Caffeine, the new search architecture, then you must know what to expect when it is eventually rolled into the main search. Some of us have not seen anything new, while others have witnessed big changes. According to the reports, the folks at 360i have done a bunch of heavy lifting and have released a report comparing Caffeine to the old Google ,that has been nicknamed as Decaf. 360i analyzed 40 retail keywords are as under:

  • 10 retail long-tail phrases (four-word phrases)
  • 10 major retail brand names (keywords)
  • 10 retail head terms (single keywords)
  • 10 retail torso terms (two-word phrases)

The above keywords come with these conclusions:

  • Domains and rankings will fluctuate.
  • The index size of single keyword search relevance will increase.
  • Long-tail becomes more relevant.
  • Caffeine is faster to get results (SERPs) in half the time, on average.
  • Increase in Universal (aka Blended) results
  • There will be an increase in social media listings, primarily due to a lift in YouTube listings.

With just 40 keywords, this report is not at all comprehensive, but it is really an interesting story about the profile of Google Caffeine. For some people the experience has been almost exact opposite from Google Caffeine. Their experience has been less universal, not much fluctuation on rankings and smaller index. However, people are suggested to do their homework, study their keywords and get ready for the implementation of Google Caffeine.

Search Ranking Factors For 2009 Indicates Little Change In SEO

Of late, people have been noticing changes in Google web search. So, is this Google web search update for August, 2009? Maybe! Over the last weekend people have noticed a few changes which they assume as a possible Google web search update. There are threads posted on this topic at DigitalPoint Forums and at WebmasterWorld.

In the WebmasterWorld thread, senior member BillyS (post number 3977195) said:

“We started to see some pretty big changes this morning. This appears to be a return to our pre-summer positions.”

However, Google's Matt Cutts commented below the post at Search Engine Roundtable that he was not aware of any update.

“I'm on vacation this week, but other than the Caffeine update, I'm not aware of any changes that would be noticed on a large scale. I'm happy to pass on example queries though if people want to point them out though.”

Forum discussion is going on at DigitalPoint Forums and WebmasterWorld.
